Enjoy music to the fullest!  Let Maureen guide you through your favorite songs.  An experienced teacher, Maureen will develop personalized warmups & a practice plan so that you can make your own music and have fun with your friends and family.  When it's helpful, Maureen will produce personalized practice videos at the end of each lesson so you can achieve your ukulele & guitar dreams.

A former Strathmore Artist in Residence, Maureen is a well respected teacher in the DC Area.  She is a regular teaching artist at the Strathmore Uke Fest (2016, 2017, 2019, & 2020), an instructor at Strathmore's Spring Break Camp (2017, 2018, 2019), a has been a faculty member at Middle C Music and the House of Musical Traditions for the last 10 years.

In addition to her private and group lesson practice, Maureen is an award winning performer with her duo The Sweater Set.  The Sweater Set has won 4 Washington Area Music Awards for their work in DC, are Artist Fellows with the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities, former Strathmore Artists in Residence, and have performed at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, the 9:30 Club, the Hamilton, Lincoln Theatre, the Howard Theatre, and Bryant Park in NYC.
